the devil is among us.

This is a title redesign I made for my typography class. The assignment was to take a movie or television show's logo, and improve upon it. Naturally, I decided to work with one of my favorite movies, Dead Alive (or Braindead, if you prefer.)


I never did like the original text used for the title, the green with purple-ish outline hardly represents the movie in all its bloody brilliance. My rendition, I feel, works much better. The idea behind it was to balance the relationships of the words "dead" and "alive" so that they reflect the horror and comedic aspects of the film.

Not much to do tonight, so I guess I'll watch some movies. I bought this^ not too long ago, as I rather enjoyed the first one. The sequel doesn't look too bad, so here's hoping it shares at least some of what made the original good..
